RevoSteel at the ADI Design Museum Group Exhibition with Sistema BINARIO

From October 5 to 14, 2026, Sistema BINARIO will be on display at the ADI Design Museum in Milan as part of the group exhibition dedicated to the 15 projects selected for the Genova Design Week Open Call Under 35.

RevoSteel takes part in the group exhibition with Sistema BINARIO, a new modular furniture collection born from the transformation of industrial scrap resulting from the production of cold-formed structural steel profiles.

The project stems from a reflection on the residual potential of materials and the possibility of converting an industrial byproduct into a new construction system, while keeping its technical nature and original characteristics visible.

During the startup of roll forming machines, production generates offcuts of galvanized steel C-profiles measuring 9, 15, and 25 cm in width with a thickness of 1.2 mm. These elements, usually intended for recovery as industrial waste, are selected and transformed into components for an indoor and outdoor furniture collection according to a selective recycling approach.

In Sistema BINARIO, the material is neither hidden nor reinterpreted, but remains recognizable: the galvanized finish is left exposed and the connections between profiles become an integral part of the system's aesthetics. The joints thus take on a dual constructive and spatial function, defining the character of the elements and their potential configurations.

Assembly is carried out using threaded rods and bolts without welding, allowing complete disassembly of components, reversibility of configurations, and their subsequent recovery and recycling. This approach brings principles of industrial prefabrication into the furniture world: modularity, adaptability, disassemblability, and waste reduction.

Sistema BINARIO was selected among the 15 projects of the Genova Design Week Open Call Under 35 and will be presented within the group exhibition hosted by the ADI Design Museum in Milan from October 5 to 14, 2026, alongside the other selected projects.
